Here are 20 relationship building questions to ask and share with your special someone!
These special questions are designed to deepen your connection. All you do is sit quietly, without TV, phones, kids, etc and ask one another these questions and allow a conversation to happen!
You might be surprised by the answers and discover something new about your partner!
(Feel free to share this link with other couples!)
Here we grow:
- Are you happy?
- What do you remember thinking the first time you saw me?
- What’s something new you’d try if money and time were no object?
- What do you like best about our relationship?
- What was your favorite Christmas gift as a child?
- Where do you do your best thinking or have “a-ha” moments?
- If you could instantly get one artistic talent, what would it be? (painter, singer, etc..)
- If you could get paid to travel to one place for a year, where would you go?
- When you were young, did you trust your parents?
- If you could travel back in time, where and what year would you go to?
- What are you most afraid of losing in this world?
- Where do you feel most at peace in this world?
- What did you learn from your parents relationship?
- Tell me about the person you’re striving to become…
- If you could design the perfect day for us, what would it be?
- If you had to wear 1 outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?
- If you could live like a TV family, which family would you choose and why?
- What is your favorite adventure that we’ve been on?
- What should I never say to you, even when I’m angry?
- If you could learn the truth about one thing in the world, what would you want to know?
OK, now grab some tea and a throw blanket, curl up on the couch with your loved one and have some fun! (You don’t have to discuss all 20 questions at once.)
These questions are meant to deepen your connection by opening communication and giving one another a safe place to be vulnerable. Don’t blow it by being sarcastic, making fun, or doubting answers. Your job is to listen, talk when it’s your turn, and love!

FULL VEGAN:
Country Life: Keene, NH
It’s a “vegetarian” restaurant but ALL the food was vegan. And where else can you find a vegan BUFFET??? Yup! A freakin’ buffett! So Thad LOVED this place, but it’s on the healthier side so it wasn’t my total fav but it was good. (What can I say? I’m a “junk food vegan.”)
It’s also a health food store and it’s super quaint! A very homey feel and the lady behind the counter was one of the nicest people we’ve met so far… a total sweetheart! It’s definitely one that you wouldn’t want to miss out on! And trust me… TRY THE CHICK’UN SALAD!!! Yummm!
The Farm Cafe: Keene, NH
So THIS was my place! Serious junk food vegan paradise! Mac & cheese, cookies, poutine, and a full menu of other amazing vegan comfort foods. I kinda want to move to Keene now just so I can eat there! And the pumpkin cookies are the bomb!
Willows Plant Based Eatery: Concord, NH
Definitely plant based as in it was all healthier food. Though lacking in the fried goodness of comfort food favs, this place has some really tasty healthy choices! I had the special for the day which was a chickpea curry and it was phenomenal! Thad had a wrap that he thoroughly enjoyed as well! Healthy but also totally yummo!

FULL VEGAN:
Totally Awesome Vegan Food Truck: Portland and surrounding areas, ME
One of our fav stops so far! They had poutine. POUTINE!!! Always remember… french fries are VEGAN and these guys took it up another notch by offering vegan poutine. You will always hold a special place in my heart! <3 Thad had a vegan dog and LOVED it!

VEGETARIAN/VEGAN:
Green Elephant: Portland, ME
Asian inspired vegetarian restaurant. Tons of vegan options and VERY easy to veganize the vegetarian dishes.
VEGAN OPTIONS AVAILABLE:
Natural Living Center: Bangor, ME
We had the tofu egg salad from the deli… very good! We also bought a gorgeous heirloom tomato, an avocado, and local lettuce to make (seitan bacon) BLT’s for dinner.
Miguels Mexican Restaurant: Bangor, ME
The menu didn’t make it super obvious to the vegan options but they had plenty…. vegan cheese, sour cream, and even Gimme Lean crumbles! Super easy to eat vegan here and it was delish too!
We had the Vegetarian Chimichanga and we had it veganized! Super flavorful and makes me wonder why on earth anyone would eat anything but vegan food!? lol.

FULL VEGAN:
Wildflour: Pawtucket, RI
My absolute FAV!! You have to try to the salted double chocolate cookies. They are orgasmic. No. Really, they are…. Orgasmic!!
Like No Udder: Providence, RI
Vegan ice cream people. I said… VEGAN ICE CREAM DAMMIT!!! HELLO!?!? It’s AMAZABALLS!!!! Omg. Thank you Karen & Chris for creating such a fun place to get delicious ice cream! PS: From April – October, they even have a vegan ice cream truck! I had a friend who got married at that truck when they first started!! Yes… a vegan ice cream truck wedding… freakin cool right!?
Plant City: Providence, RI
Plant City is more than a place to eat great vegan food, it’s an experience! 3 restaurants to choose from, plus groceries and products for sale, and the friendliest people around make it one of my all time FAVS! I mean…. IT’S A VEGAN FOOD HALL!!!!! Helllloooo!?! Doesn’t get any better than that!
Veggie Fun: Providence, RI
Pan-Asian, Vegan, and Kosher in one place! This was our daughter Carrie’s fav spot! She often makes a late night dorm meal of her fav… the spring rolls! I was under the weather the day we ate there and they were kind enough to make me a plain noodle soup with no veggies… just the way I like it! 🙂 Thad LOVED his meal too and he actually ate his veggies! lol.
By Chloe: Providence, RI
An all vegan chain that has some amazingAF mac & cheese! Now, I hate mushrooms. I know that’s weird for a vegan, but I do. But the mushroom bacon on top of the By Chloe mac & cheese is amazaballs!! It’s my fav mac that isn’t made by Thad!
VEGETARIAN/VEGAN:
Garden Grille: Pawtucket, RI
This place has been around for a long time and the food NEVER disappoints! I am so grateful for Garden Grille as it was a staple so many years ago when it was hard to find to find vegan options.
Despite being around so long, they have always stayed current and it’s def a great place to go!
The Grange: Providence, RI
Yummm! This is a great place to bring your vegetarian and vegan friends! Great food, and I especially LOVE their pastries! I had an amazing muffin and scone (don’t judge me) with my tofu scramble. My meat and potato parents even ate here with me and didn’t die. lol. (Rolling my eyes at meat eaters. lol)
VEGAN OPTIONS AVAILABLE:
Nice Slice: Providence, RI
Seriously good vegan pizza with plenty of options including vegan meats and cheeses! Def a fav of ours and deserving of our 5 Star-Fav! Mmmm… pizzzzzaaaa!!!
Diego’s: Newport, RI
OK… it’s not a full vegan restaurant BUTTTT they have a separate vegan menu and their food freakin ROCKS so they get our 5 Star-Fav!!
Thad and I are happy to drive any distance and pay the $8 to travel over the Newport bridge both ways, and pay for parking just to eat at this place. It’s worth it. SO worth it.
Last time I had the enchilada and it was BOMB. Last night Thad and I split the tofu tacos and an order of nachos. First of all… NEVER split the tacos… you want them both, trust me! Secondly, yes, get the nachos too… you won’t regret it!
The food is delicious- just ask for the vegan menu, and order more than you need because it’s great the next day too! 🙂
Rasoi: Pawtucket, RI
We may or may not have eaten Indian food 3 times this week. Ok, we DID. lol. Rasoi is AWESOME! Yummm! They have loads of vegan goodness to choose from and the Potato Masala Dosa (pictured) was the best I’ve ever had!
