What happened in Vegas last week……

August 14, 2017 | Posted in Change, Education, General, Inspiration, Learning, Motivation, Personal Development | By

OMG. Seriously… It seems the tagline “What happens in Vegas” really does bring out some horrendous behavior in people as Thad mentioned in the email last week! (Thank you Thad! <3)

I saw way too many boobs and even a penis when one guy just decided to whip it out as I walked to Starbucks one day! Gross.

Anyway, besides all the private parts, I also learned a ton of awesome stuff, and observed many things that inspired some good thoughts!

To keep this shorter than a book, I will just bullet point some stuff and feel free to Contact me!! if you’d like further information or clarification!

Mindset Tips:

  • Action, not thought, will always bring more clarity.
  • Righteousness doesn’t make you better, it only separates you from others.
  • With smart phones everywhere… nothing truly “stays in Vegas!”
  • Acknowledging your challenges is the first step to overcoming them.
  • Do what’s good for your business, not your ego!
  • If you can give, help, or serve… please do!
  • Your body parts are NOT what make you appealing. Your heart and mind are.
  • Be more interesting by being more interested in others.
  • Trade your vision board for an “ACTION” board!
  • Your kids will be as emotionally strong as you are!
  • Never take your kids to Las Vegas unless you have to. And if you do, be ready to shield their eyes!
  • Make a decision. Make a plan. Make it happen.
  • “Busy” is not “Business.”
  • Don’t wait to make a change in your life because you may miss the opportunity!
  • ***Want to hang out with mindset masters? Contact me!!***

Business Tips:

  • Keep going so when you do come up for air, you have something to celebrate!
  • Don’t trade who you truly are, for what you want. Be who you are and the rewards will come.
  • There is nothing comfortable about being broke.
  • Do what’s good for your business, not your ego!
  • The more you read, the more you grow!
  • Step up your game by hanging out with people who have achieved more than you.
  • It’s easier to make money when you have mentors or coaches.
  • Knowing exactly “WHY” you want to succeed is FUEL for success!
  • Wealth is having the freedom to do what you want, when you want, and where you want!
  • Don’t work for money, work for purpose and the money will follow.
  • Fire bad clients.
  • You are only as good as your team.
  • Never pre-judge a person on whether they will be interested, or able to afford your product or service.
  • ***Want to take your business to the next level? Contact me!!***

Weight Loss Tips:

  • Keep going so when you do come up for air, you have something to celebrate!
  • Eat whats good for your body, not your mouth!
  • Deep sleep plays a HUGE role in successful weight loss.
  • Food effects mood.
  • It is NOT hard to eat healthy while on vacation with the right system.
  • The belly buster REALLY works to take inches off your belly! (Ask me about my weight loss system.)
  • Lifting weights / resistance training helps you lose fat easier and faster.
  • Avoid all you can eat buffets!! (I may have learned this one the hard way at the Bellagio!)
  • You NEED a coach to hold you accountable.
  • Intermittent fasting is excellent for fat loss, and internal detoxifying!
  • Fat gets a bad rap, but it actually accrues to protect your body from toxins.
  • Sweating doesn’t mean fat loss, it means water loss. You should be able to “talk” through your workouts without panting.
  • Health depends more upon nutrition than it does exercise.
  • 48% of adults do not get enough magnesium which supports nerve function, blood pressure, strong bones, and a steady heart beat.
  • Diets do not work. Eating nutrient dense food does!
  • Feel your soul more than you feed your body and you will lose weight.
  • ***Want to lose weight with me? Contact me!!***
  • JOIN ME FOR A FACEBOOK LIVE TONIGHT (TUESDAY, AUGUST 15TH) AT 7PM FOR MORE WEIGHT LOSS TIPS!!!

As you can see, I took a lot away from Las Vegas! Some good, some not so good, but ALL useful!

On a personal note…. I decided to walk everywhere instead of taking Uber and it was great exercise! My last day, I walked 9.2 miles in 108 degree weather!!

I went to a cocktail party in a new size 8 dress (high school size) and had dinner at the top of the Stratosphere in the revolving restaurant while bungee jumpers jumped off in front of us! Yikes!

I also got to see some amazing people… Tony Robbins, Flo Rida (rapper) and Montell Jordan (rapper)!!!

Life is truly as good as you decide it to be! Life happens… some good, some bad, but WE are always able to decide how we act, react, and interact with our world! Never let a tagline determine your behavior, choices, or life!

Your kids want you to know….

mental-physical

Your kiddo would like you to know that when YOU feel good, THEY feel good!!!

It really is that simple.

Parents over work and under take care of themselves so they can “provide” for the family but what the kid really wants is for you to be happy.

In fact, every kid I talk to cares more about their parents happiness than they do about their cell phones. They would give up all their electronic toys if it meant their parents would smile, laugh, and spend quality time with them.

Your kids will only ever be as OK as you are!

Stress rolls downhill! If you are stressed so are they. And blanket statements like “I have to work to provide all the nice things you have!” does not negate their stress!

Think about that. No really think about it……….

When was the last time someone stressed themselves out for you and you felt good about it?

Likely, never! Unless you’re a sociopath (and you’re not) you would never want someone else to be stressed to the max for you! You would feel horrible!

So. Take better care of yourself. There is a 100% link between mental health and physical health.

Work less, workout more…. and ask the kids to join you! You don’t have to go kill it at a gym… just take a walk, or a hike together!

Eat less, cook more…. and ask the kids to join you in the kitchen! You don’t have to prepare a 5 course meal… but cook a healthy meal instead of grabbing take out all of the time.

Your kids want you to spend time with them more than they want you to spend money on them. So cut the stress and hug your babies! Listen… they move out on their own far quicker than you realize!

You don’t want them to reach 18 and be dying to leave the house because it’s so stressful! You want them to feel bittersweet… happy to start a new adventure, but also miss you! That way they come back to visit!

With love, gratitude, and inspiration,

Heather Paris

UPDATE: I’ve lost 40 pounds which is 160 pounds of pressure off my joints!! I feel amazing and have loads of energy, and I’ve seen a shift in my own kids and how they are eating as well!!!

Why you shouldn’t forgive!

May 23, 2017 | Posted in Challenges, Change, General, Personal Development, Self-Esteem | By

ForgiveYourself

I know this goes against what most people say, but I don’t believe in forgiving everyone!

Some things shouldn’t be forgiven because if you do, you run the risk of softening your convictions.

Convictions are fuel for purpose and help you take action that could make positive change in the world!

Forgive a child molester, rapist, or murderer? No freakin way!

I don’t want to soften how I feel about people who pose real and actual danger to myself or other people!

You don’t owe forgiveness to anyone but yourself!

In fact, it’s not YOUR responsibility to forgive anyone BUT yourself.

I have found that most people are more upset with themselves than with the person who hurt them. They blame themselves for not “saying no,” for “not being strong enough to fight,” and even for “being stupid enough to fall for the lies.”

The real forgiveness is only owed to yourself! Stop beating yourself up for being a victim! The most empowering thing you can do is to forgive yourself and find ways to not be the victim again!

The other person can work on his or her own forgiveness.

I would encourage you to understand instead of forgiving. So maybe you understand that the person who hurt you was abused as a child and learned to hurt others. It’s not an excuse, and no forgiveness is needed, but you understand that “hurt people hurt people.”

Forgiveness is a deeply personal act of sacrifice because you are agreeing to override your feelings to give absolution to another. This is something that should be honored and reserved for people who are truly sorry, have made amends, and will not repeat what they have done.

Everyone else can have compassion because you are able to understand how they became so damaged, but not forgiven.

#1 Tip To Find Your Soul Mate- tell your single friends!!

February 13, 2017 | Posted in Change, General, Personal Development, Professionals, Relationships | By

Thather

Single and looking? DON’T look for someone like minded, and DON’T worry about finding someone with common interests!

Yep, I just said that.

Everyone’s so worried about finding someone to do stuff with that they don’t think to look for someone they can just “be” with.

Rather than looking for the like minded person with common interests, focus instead on finding someone who is LIKE-VALUED!

When I first met my husband Thad, I thought he was so handsome, but I also thought he was a jerk!

He was a meat eating country boy who had never walked on fire, and never heard of, or even watched the movie, “The Secret!” (One of my favs!)

I was a vegan, firewalking, hippie freak who had never heard of, let alone played, the game “corn hole.”

Besides physical attraction, what the hell did we see in each other?

Common values.

Although on the outside we appeared to have little in common, we both had a deep desire to have one more relationship… just one more, and it had to be magical!

We both valued learning, growing, and family. We valued honesty, and clean living. We valued excellent communication and friendship. We both valued hard work and ambition. We valued generosity and volunteering.

And it was these values that brought us together, and keep us together.

Sit down and make a list of your values so you can get a clearer picture of the things you want in a soul mate! You may discover that you have been looking for love in all the wrong places!

What would you do for your soul mate? Absolutely anything right?

So once you find him, you will be more than happy to take an interest in the things that interest him and vice verse!

What good is it if he shares your love of cooking but hates to tell the truth?

When Thad and I got together, he eventually stopped eating meat, and I even went hiking and camping! Not because we asked, forced, or required one another to do so, but because we value one another so much that we make an effort to participate in one another’s interests.

And very often, we discover that we enjoy something we didn’t know we liked!

Listen, single people all over the world are doing it wrong! Help them find their soul mate by sharing this article!

As always, if you need some help, just contact me!

Experience has made me wise, coaching has shown me how to share that wisdom.
